Automatic numbering

Please note

The platform supports both numbering schemes (default and alternative numbering) defined in the ISO/IEC directives. The numbering scheme needs to be defined at the time of onboarding. To change your current auto-numbering scheme contact helpdesk@iso.org

Clauses, Figures, Tables, Equations, Notes and Examples are automatically incrementally numbered when they are added to the document.

When you insert a new numbered element in between two existing elements (for example you add a new table in a clause, but the next clause already contains a table), then the new element will get the correct next incremental value, and subsequent elements be automatically renumbered.

Any cross reference made to an automatically numbered element will also have its label, automatically numbered.
