Pause commenting during CD Consultation or DIS/FDIS ballot

This article is relevant for:

Voters; NMC Secretary

During a CD Consultation, DIS or FDIS ballot, voters and/or NMC Secretaries can stop the commenting from National experts (NMCs experts) to allow for enough time to resolve National comments before the ISO ballot closes.

Note for ISOlutions members using National eBalloting (NEB)

The pause commenting feature is not automatically activated at the closure of the national ballot.

The Pause Commenting will prevent the National contributors to post any new comments, they will be informed of this when opening the online document by a pop-up message as below:

Notification shown to National contributors when comments are paused

Note that during the paused commenting period:

  • Voters can resolve comments and add new ones
  • National contributors can view all comments but cannot add new ones.

To pause the commenting period, open the menu Other tools and select Pause commenting

Voters and/or NMC Secretaries can always resume the commenting period by selecting Other tools > Resume commenting
