A SEAMLESS AND INTUITIVE PATH TO FAMILIAR NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CONTENT
Introduction
To support the implementation of the ISO Strategy 2030, Information Technology is a key enabler to increase collaboration with partner organizations. The ISO eCommittees replacement project provided a unique opportunity not only to centralise ISO related document management (including AFNOR and DIN hosted Committee documents) for technical committees around the world but also to further connect ISO with its partners such as CEN.
The recently deployed Documents platform already allows users to navigate seamlessly between CEN and ISO Documents if they hold relevant roles to access documents for both organizations. With the upcoming migration of ISOlutions member documents to the new platform, users with roles at both national and international levels will be able to navigate effortlessly between environments.
The migration of ISOlutions National Committee Documents and Members using the National Mirroring Committees facilities to the new platform will take place in a series of waves, from November 2021 to end of June 2022.
With each subsequent ‘wave’ of National Documents implementation, more enhanced features will be introduced to include features required by members being migrated in the wave. We start simple and increase the complexity as we go along.
Following each go-live wave, we will be gathering your feedback to make further improvements/enhancements as necessary, but will also make available opportunities for feedback from your end-users upon request.
Training and videos
You can refer to the " Training and videos" page in the Knowledge base to get more familiar to this new application.
This page here explains you also more about the navigation in the application.
Providing feedback
Your feedback will help us fine-tune the Documents application as the project advances. Some of you will be directly involved in the ISOlutions Focus group and/or have answered our first survey regarding the application.
You are also welcome to send us any comments you may have at helpdesk@iso.org
New automatic scheduler
With the migration to National Documents, we are happy to introduce the new automatic document scheduler. Similarly to the previous version based on National eCommittees, this mechanism allows committee members to be informed by email whenever there are new documents available (national documents as well as international mirror documents). The new automatic document scheduler introduces exciting improvements documented on the project web page.
Warning
The older notifications will stop being sent the day we open the new platform to you. From that day on, the new scheduler will notify you of new documents. Documents circulated over that period might not get notified to you. Documents are not lost though and you can easily identify these documents (along with all others) from your new committee workspace.
- Open your new National Documents committee workspace
- From the left menu, click on the Committee documents button. This view will show all national and international mirror committees for your national committee.
- Using the search facets (filters), narrow the search criteria. For example, the creation date
