My actions

The portal offers a redesigned user interface and new features including My actions.

From the My actions page, you will find reminders of the actions that are expected from you: (“1. What needs to be done”), resources to help you complete these activities ( “2. Why and how to do it”) and the corresponding date by when these actions are due (“3. When to do it”).

Clicking on the action will take you directly to the corresponding content (meeting, ballot, project etc.) so you can easily take action.

Why do I see “My actions”?

This information is tailor-made based on your roles and responsibilities which have been set up in the Global Directory in the various ISO, CEN and national committees. However, and as this is just the beginning, we currently only gather a limited list of actions and will progressively deploy new type of actions.

Please note

Find resources related to the action

From the action tile, click on the "Related resources" book icon. A new section will open displaying the list of available resources. These might be links to the directives explaining why the action is expected and also direct links to the knowledge base explaining how to perform the action.

Please note

The related resources icon is not available for actions which have a status "Expired" and/or "Cancelled".

Action status and possible changes

These are the available action statuses:

  • Open (default) - The task was identified as an action that needs to be performed based on your roles. By default, only these tasks are displayed in the page.
  • Done - The action has been completed.
  • Ignored - While you can actually perform the action, it may not be mandatory for you and you would like to hide it from your dashboard. Another scenario might be that another person is actually responsible for this task.
  • Expired - The due date for this action has passed.
  • Cancelled - The source of the action no longer exists or the action is no longer relevant.

Please note

At the moment, actions are not synchronized in real time with the source applications. Therefore, when completing a task, we recommend that you click on the "Change status" icon and mark the action as Done. This will remove the action from your dashboard.

We are conscious that you may be sharing some roles with other people (committee manager/convenor/secretary support team) and the task will also show on their list of actions. If you believe the action is not relevant for you and will be completed by someone else, you can mark the task as ignored.

This will remove the action from your dashboard.

Please Note

  • When landing on your "My actions" page, as a default, you will see all your "Open" actions.
  • You can retrieve all your open, done, ignored, expired and cancelled actions by using the "Status" search filter located on the header of your My actions page.

Completing an action

To complete an action from the action tile, you can either click on:

  1. the action title or
  2. you can click on the "Go-to" widget

Both will take you directly into the corresponding application so that you can complete the action.

  • a section providing the actual week day, date and your local time by when the action must be completed.
