Approval stage (OSD)

Note:

The Approval process in OSD is available for a limited number of projects. ISO/CS will revert back to you after the submission to let you know if the project will continue with the Online Mode.

Document workflow during Approval stage

The Approval stage includes 3 main stages: FDIS Registered, Member Commenting or Proof reading (50.20) and Final editorial review.

During stage 50.00 and 50.20, the ISOCS Editorial Manager works on the online document to provide editorial comments and changes.

During stage 50.20, officers and members (if FDIS ballot) provide comments in the online document.

All comments are resolved by the ISOCS Editorial Manager at stage 60.00. Officers will be called to provide a final review but the document is validated for publication.

Default roles during Approval stage

During stage 50.00 the Committee and WG have read-only access and can therefore only consult the document. During those stages, the ISOCS Editorial Manager have access to the document to review and provide editorial comments and changes.

If needed, the ISOCS Editorial Manager will assign Officers as CONTRIBUTOR during their editing task to work collaboratively on the online document.

During the Commenting stage (50.20), the officers are CONTRIBUTOR and can provide comments in the online document. If a FDIS ballot is open,  Liaison representatives and Voters  are invited to comment on the document

Stage 60.00 - Comment resolution

Once the FDIS ballot has closed, the project stage will automatically be updated to stage 50.60. If the FDIS ballot is approved, the project is automatically updated from stage 50.60 to 60.00.

The Committee and WG have still Readers access and can therefore only consult the document in read only.

During stage 60.00:

  • the ISOCS Editorial Manager resolves the comments received during the FDIS ballot.
  • Once the comments resolutions are done, the Officers will have a period of two weeks to provide their final comments and/or confirm that we can go ahead with the publication.
  • after this two weeks review, the ISOCS Editorial Manager checks the document for the last time before publication.
