Ignore Content Quality rules

When running the Content quality check, you can decide for each suggestion to:
- apply the suggested action (if any, e.g. correct a spelling mistake)
- ignore the suggestion for this occurrence (ignore once)
- ignore the suggestion for the entire document (ignore all)
Please note
The ignored suggestions are ignored for the full lifecycle of the draft unless you unignore them (this can be done anytime, see corresponding section further below)
Ignore a content quality rule?
For each suggestion, you can open the More options menu (three dots icon) and select :

| Ignore this suggestion once | If you select this option, the triggered rule will be ignored for this occurence only E.g. if you ignore once the spell check error "Electropedia", the rule will no longer be triggered for the occurence ignored, but another occurence of the term elsewhere in the document will trigger the quality check rule again. |
| Ignore all similar suggestions | If you select this option, the rule will be ignored for the entire document. E.g. if you ignore all the spell check error "Electropedia", all occurences of this exact term in the document will no longer be highlighted by the Conten quality checks. |
Warning
The ignore feature is case sensitive, e.g. Ignoring "Electropedia" will not apply to "electropedia".
Unignore a content quality rule
Option 1 : Within the online document
You can review all ignored suggestions within the online document using the Content quality filter Ignored suggestions and decide to "unignore" them so that they will be triggered again during the next Content quality check.
To do so :
- Open the Content quality filters
- Select the Ignored suggestion category and deselect all other rules category
- Click "Set filters"
- Review all ignored rules and decide if you want to Unignore it, by clicking the Unignore or Unignore all button.

We strongly advice to deselect all other filters and select only the Ignored suggestions one to review all ignored (once or all) quality check suggestions.
Option 2: Within the "Review ignore all terms" page (for ignored all suggestions only)
To open the page go to the Tools menu > Other actions > Content quality > Review ignore all terms.
The page list all ignored all suggestions. For each ignored suggestion, it displays its category, description and (when it applies) the term that was ignored.
From this screen you can unignore the rule by clicking on the cross icon within the Actions column.
