  • Committee Manager (CM), Twinned Committee Manager (Twinned CM), Committee Manager Support Team (CM Support Team) roles refer to technical committees and their sub-committees only.
  • Secretary, Twinned Secretary, Secretary/Convenor Support Team roles refer to Working Groups (WG), Policy committees, and Governance committees.

Create a CD Consultation

Please note

  • CD Consultation can be created for IS, DTR, DTS and DPAS. 
  • CD Consultation can only be created from stage 30.00 or 30.92. If your project needs to be updated, please contact your Technical Programme Manager.

To create a new CD Consultation, select Committee internal balloting, click on New Ballot and in the drop-down menu select Committee Draft Consultation.

This will launch a 4-step wizard that will help you creating the ballot

1 Committee selection

Select from the drop-down list the committee for which you wish to create the ballot .

Please note

the drop-down list will only display committees for which you are registered as Committee manager, PC Secretary, and/or in a support team role in the Global Directory.

After the selection of the committee, the screen will automatically refresh to allow you to select the project to which the Committee Draft is related (this field is mandatory).

Please note

The drop-down list is driven by data taken from ISO Projects database. If you cannot find your project in the list, please contact projects@iso.org

2 Ballot information

This step allows you to enter the ballot's metadata, i.e. ballot reference, start date and end date. Fill in all the required fields.

Please note

The system proposes by default a 2-month duration for the ballot, but you are free to modify it

Fields Description
Reference Ballot reference or document title.
Start date Vote opening date
End date Vote closing date
Notes Any notes relevant to the ballot.

Click on Next

3 Questions and answers

This step displays the set of questions and answers that will be proposed during the consultation. Since the CD consultation is based on an ISO template for the questions and answers, you cannot change any of them.

Click the Create button to move to Step 4.

Please note

Note that until you click the Create button, you can go back in the process anytime by clicking the Previous button to modify the ballot data.

4 Reference documents

This step allows you to add any reference document(s) to the ballot or any other link to useful resources. 

Please note

If your project team is working on a an online document (OSD), refer to the next section 5. Reference documents for projects developed online to know how to provide a link to the online document. 

Warning

The balloting portal does not automatically create N-documents on ISO Documents.

It is therefore recommended to first upload the relevant N-Documents for the ballot onto Documents platform, then download the N-document and attach it to the ballot.

Open the function menu next to Reference document and links and select: Add new reference document.

Select the file to be added from your desktop and click on Upload.

The CD consultation has been successfully created, with the reference document and will open automatically on the defined Start date. Click on the Finish button to terminate the wizard.

5 Reference documents for projects developed online

For projects being drafted via the OSD platform, the link to the online draft is automatically added as a reference document in the CD Consultation. Voters, can access the document online and place their comments as long as the CD Consultation remains open. Once the CD Consultation closes, Voter can no longer submit comments.

We kindly ask you to add the two pdf quick start guides for voters and national experts which will provides some guideance to members on the new Member Commenting process via OSD.

To add additional document(s) to the CD consultation, open the function menu next to Reference document and links and select: Add new reference document.

Select the file to be added from your desktop and click on Upload.

The CD Consultation will be successfully created, with the reference document and will open automatically on the defined Start date. 

Click on the Finish button to terminate the wizard.
