Document workflow during Proposal stage

The Proposal stage includes 3 main stages: Drafting, commenting and comments resolution.

Roles during Proposal stage

At this stage, WG Officers* and parent committees Officers** are Leaders on the online document. All other roles are by default Readers (i.e. Committee members, Liaison representatives, Partners, Document monitors, and Voters). 

During the Drafting and Resolution stages (10.00, 10.60), the Leaders set up the project team by granting the relevant permissions to the members participating to the document authoring. To know more about Setting up a project team, refer to the article at the bottom of the page.

During the Commenting stage (10.20), the Leaders and all other roles have Read-only access to the document, except for the Liaison representatives and Voters who are invited to comment on the document

How do I access the online document?

There are several ways to access your online document, check the article Accessing online document referenced at the bottom of this page.

If your project has no online document yet, the Committee Manager can activate it directly in Projects. For more information on how to do this, please check the article Activate online document

How do I work on the online document with a project team (stage 10.00)?

Once the online document is active, and the WG Officers* and parent committees Officers** have defined the project team, each team member can start authoring and commenting on the online document.

How do I circulate the document for members' commenting (stage 10.20)?

Unless, the Committee Manager has submitted to ISO/CS the eForm4 at stage 00.99 which creates automatically an New Work Item Proposal (NP) ballot. At stage 10.00, if there is no existing NP ballot, the Committee Manager can create it manually. The project stage will automatically move from 10.00 to 10.20 when the NP ballot opens.

How do I resolve comments (stage 10.60)?

Once the NP ballot has closed, the project stage will automatically get updated to stage 10.60. All the roles to the online document will be reset to the default roles as explained in section Roles during Proposal stage.

At this stage, the Committee and WG officers can resolve all captured comments. In addition they can update their project team roles to contribute to the document's authoring.

How do I move the project to the next stages (10.92, 10.98, 10.99)?

Once all comments have been resolved, and the document is ready to move to the next stage (Preparatory stage), move your project to stage 20.00 by following the step in the article: Update Project stages.

Unless the project gets cancelled (10.98), the online document stays available for authoring.
